What Stay At Home Mom's Do

I saw this on facebook and thought it was funny. I especially like the picture of "what I think I do" in actuality I resemble more of the last picture.

Sleep Study Results

I was able to bump up my appointment for the sleep study to the February 11th. I had electrodes everywhere, including my head, monitoring my breathing and brain signals. I was called on Wednesday by the director at the sleep study facility. She informed me that I either stopped breathing or had very shallow breathing 137 times that night! That means I had 24 times per hour where I had these problems. That really freaked me out, to say the least. I know my blood pressure has read high sometimes since I have had Kailyn too. I have also had shaking at night since she has been born too.

As I was looking into the affects of sleep apnea...headaches, sleepiness during the day, high blood pressure, shaking at night especially 1 -2 hours of going to sleep, irritability and even more things too. I began to think that some of my problems (all those listed) could be a related to the fact that I have moderate to severe sleep apnea. I feel relieved that I have finally have answers!

So I called the doctor's office on Thursday the 16th. The doctor himself called me back. I am having surgery on March 21st to get my deviated septum fixed and to remove my tonsils. I will then ask about having my adenoids removed and uvula either removed or trimmed. Either way the first week is REALLY bad recovery. It looks like I will look and feel "marvelous" on Madison's birthday weekend. Luckily Joyce has been looking for an excuse to come visit us. She is coming to help with the kids. My mom hopes to surprise Madison that weekend as well. I am glad to have so many blessings in my life (including answers to questions I have had for years). Most of all I am glad that I started snoring, which is the reason I sought help.

Sleep Study

I have been experiencing a lot of sore throats and allergies since May. I have also been snoring like crazy. I finally went to see an ENT doctor. My tonsils are the size of golf balls and I have a deviated septum on the right side of my nose. My doctor is fairly confident that removing my tonsils and fixing my nose will help cut down on the snoring.

I went in to a sleep study Saturday night. It was weird to have the wires everywhere, but I did manage to sleep. I prayed that the experts find what has been bothering me and will be trying to help avoid the CPAP machine. Looks like surgery is in the near future for me.

We Are Missing Something

Kason had so many missing teeth at Christmas time, now he has lost another one on the top. Needless to say, he doesn't like reading aloud since he can't enunciate words correctly. It really bugs him since he had 3 years of speech therapy. And now we can see how BIG his adult teeth are. Too big to fit in the holes of his baby teeth. Orthodontics here we come!
