Swim Team

Breast stroke is a hard race, even when it is your favorite.
Swim meets are a time the kids get to hang out with friends and eat junk food.  Parents volunteer to help get the kids lined up for the races and much more.  Kason's friend Bryn - her dad is a photographer for the Gwinnett Post.  He took lots of pictures, but somehow Kason was in a LOT of them :)

Kason and 3 of his class mates all in swim team too.

Madison doesn't like her picture taken evidently.  She worked hard in backstroke, breast and butterfly.

Park time in Canada

Running up a hill is difficult for short legs!

Tyler loves to be outside, especially without bugs!!!  He likes that he can wear a jacket in the summertime in Vancouver, that it might rain and it might not.  Most of all I love his smile!

Even us grown-ups have to play sometimes!  It is nice to be on vacation that we can just go play and talk to the kids.  It is also nice to have Grammy and Papa there to help watch the kids - adult to kid ratio is equal.

Cool in Canada

Raspberry picking is one of my kids' favorite activities to do when we visit Mike's parents in Vancouver.  I love the things we find there, like the pretty pink bell flowers pictured above and some huge gross black slugs we found.
We went to Grouse Mountain.  It was 35 degrees on the top of the mountain.  We were freezing.  We watched a lumber jack show on the top of the mountain.  They gave Kailyn a tiny chair they cut out at the show.  The kids laughed at the sight of the snow and ice.  Mike really wanted to do the zip line, but the temperature and lack of visibility changed his mind.  We were literally in a cloud!

Coming down the mountain, we got to see the cloud we were inside of.

Lion's Gate park is one of our favorites.  The kids (and Mike) like running on the big tires.  Kailyn likes the park and doesn't try to run on the tires yet.  I bet she tries next year.  Even Tyler got brave and jumped for a few tires just out of his reach.
