Tonsils are OUT
My tonsils are out, and my deviated septum is fixed. I am recovering pretty good, even had my nose splints removed today because I couldn't breathe. My throat is sore, but I am experiencing a lot of ear pain. They told me this would happen, but I was expecting this until day 6, not day 3. I am just tired and unable to sleep. I get weak very easily and can't do much with the kids. I was told today that I am healing quickly, so hopefully I will continue to do so.
Hiding out in the Bathroom
A couple of weeks ago, there were tornadoes reported in our area along with heavy rain, lightening and thunder. We quickly realized that we didn't have our 72 hour kits to date, nor do we have an adequate 3 month food supply. Getting a 3 month food supply ready is somewhat difficult because of Madison's dietary restrictions and it seems like a daunting task to me. But as we were hiding out in the bathroom, we realized that we need to work on updating these. We would also like to hull out the closet under the stairs as a safer place to hide out during storms.
I am finding that preparing 72 hour kits is a somewhat daunting task, especially with Madison's diet restrictions.
