Birthday Girl!

Kailyn turned ONE on July 21st! We had a family party for her this past weekend. She is so much fun and enjoys every minute of her day.

Playing with her Papa at the pool. She had just learned to walk, so she needed some extra support to check everything out.

You can kind of see her expression. She was loving the spray park at our neighborhood pool. She was even laughing as she was putting her face in the water.
I don't know why, but I love this picture of Kailyn toddling down the hall. She is getting better at walking and can recover from being a little off balance. I just love watching her learn.

One of her favorite things to do is sit under our front table. She sits there and plays, or loves to climb on and off.
Opening presents at her party! Her grandparents love to buy her dresses. She got 8 dresses for her birthday! She will even play with her dress and smile when you put it on her. Madison was never this girlie so I am loving it!
We thought she would be the one to face plant in the cake. We were wrong. The boys didn't like to get their hands dirty so they picked at it and cried. Madison takes the cake on 1st birthday cakes. She tried to eat to bite it and then started throwing it on the floor. Kailyn enjoyed her cake and getting messy. We tried to warn the kids that they didn't want to get that close, but they insisted on trying to "help" her by getting a taste of the untouched side of the cake.
