Thanksgiving was spent at the my Phillips' side of the family, which had a huge turn out this year. We used to be the only ones with kids, now the other cousins that have kids outnumber ours FINALLY! The Baker's have a beautiful backyard the kids can run around in and the weather was phenomenal. I am so blessed to have family so close by.
I had made the Bakerella oreo truffles. Before the food was blessed, the younger couples were eying those (thanks Summer for the suggestion!)
The day after we spent Thanksgiving with Mike's family. They always do it the Friday or Saturday after to accommodate our schedule. Mike's brother Allen was home from school and then we had my Dad and Crystal's parents and grandfather there too. I know it sounds funny that we hang out with Mike's brother's inlaws, but they live here in Texas and his brother doesn't. It isn't a holiday without the Bangerter's. They are wonderful people.
I am thankful for my family and for the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am so thankful for our church. I honestly don't know who or where I would be without it.
Kids were thankful for cousins, ham instead of turkey, a chance to see Uncle Allen and 2 days of eating yummy food.
