A Wonderfully Busy Day
Madison turned 8 on March 26th. She wanted a pink and black birthday party, so we set everything up the night before because we had a REALLY busy day the next day. First her baptism was in the morning. Our stake has baptisms for all children that just turned 8 the first Saturday of every month. Since we had General Conference the first week of April, the baptisms were moved up one week. Well all the other children opted to wait - so Madison got a baptism all to herself. I will post pictures of her baptism later. I forgot my camera that morning so I am at the mercy of my in-laws for pictures.
Here are the chocolate cupcakes with chocolate centers and chocolate ganache on top. They were sinfully delicious! Oh, and we had to have the oreo truffles from Bakerella.
Madison chose a buffet for her lunch. She wanted to go to Golden Corral, but I told her that was not an option. We had a sandwich platter with all the fixings, fruit, chips, veggies, etc. It was perfect and easy to prepare the night before.
Kason, Tyler, Darian, Sara K (practically family), Allison, Madison, Matthew and Kailyn
Since it was the weekend before Easter and our last weekend in Texas, we did an Easter egg hunt with the cousins. The wind was so strong it blew Kailyn and Matthew over a few times. Kailyn really got the hang of "hunting". She got more than anyone! It was a really fun day for all of us and very special for Madison.
