Madison's ammonia levels went up a little over night, as did her liver enzymes. The genetics doctor was okay with her levels and the fact that she is behaving much better. The doctor gave the okay to go home.
We waited a long time for another blood test to send to genetics lab. Then we had to wait for some medicine to bring home with us. The ammonia scavenger medicine is very expensive and no pharmacy stocks it, so they have to order it.
We are home, and go to get more answers at the genetics doctor on Wednesday.
Madison was very spoiled at the hospital and didn't want to come home! She got pampered by nurses and doctors, got to order anything on the menu, go to the library, see dogs and football players. Plus she was really nervous taking out her IV, which ripped out her arm hairs.
We are so blessed to be at the right hospital with the genetics team at hand. We know that we are in Georgia for a reason, and I know this was not a coincidence that the best metabolic geneticist is here in Atlanta.
Thanks for all the prayers.
