We have been crushing up the Buphenyl since she got home from the hospital. It is so nasty that she had to work herself up to even drink it and then quickly wash it down with water.
We have been asking her to just try swallowing half of a pill. With MUCH intervention and coaxing on our part, she finally tried it and DID it! Even though she has to swallow 6 pills (3 cut in half), she is much happier doing that then drinking the nasty mixture.
Maybe in a month or two, she will try the big pills...

My mom used to break up our pills and put it into either applesauce or a pudding cup. I think she tried doing putting it in one or two bites worth, and then we could enjoy the rest medicine free. That's great that Madison can swallow pills! That's much easier and better tasting!
Yeah for Madison!!! That may sound small to some, but pill-swallowing is a huge accomplishment. It took me years to learn how to swallow a pill - Good Work Madison!
